Thumb Screws
Thumb screws are a type of fastener designed to be tightened and loosened by hand. Standard thumb screws feature a tall head with knurled sides; spade head thumb screws feature a flat, vertical, key-like head. These specialized head styles allow for fast and easy adjustments, with no special tools required. Thumb screws are used to fasten objects that need to be adjusted frequently, and are commonly used in computers, electronics, and other consumer devices.Value Fastener’s inventory includes steel thumb screws, stainless steel thumb screw, and aluminum thumb screw options in various head styles.

Wing Screws
Wing screws are a type of fastener designed to be tightened and loosened by hand. Also known as wing thumb screws, they feature wing-like projections that form the head of the screw and provide thumb and forefinger leverage for turning. Metal wing thumb screws allow for rapid assembly and disassembly by hand, with no special tools needed. Because wing screws generally provide a larger gripping surface than spade head thumb screws, they offer ample leverage for tightening. Like thumb screws, wing screws are commonly used in consumer products. We offer steel wing screws in two styles, both of which feature corrosion-resistant zinc coating:
- Type A Cold-Forged Steel Wing Screws: Type A wing screws are precision forged with the winged head and shank as a single piece.
- Type D Stamped Steel Wing Screws: Type D wing screws are manufactured in two pieces, with the stamped winged head portion welded to the shank.
